I want to introduce you to an article from the current issue of BSSW-Report (4/2014)

Dieter Ott “Rineloricaria lanceolata – oder was?” (“Rineloricaria lanceolata – or what?”)

Dieter reports from catching his Rineloricaria (cf.) lanceolata in eastern Paraguay and on their reproduction in the aquarium at home. The essential basis of the breeding success seems to be feeding with Tubifex and large water changes. The raising appears in a Gerd-box simple. A horn snail and a bubble snail kept clean the box. Some information from other aquarists completes the report.

Note: This species is also known as Hemiloricaria lanceolata. Hemiloricaria currently regarded as a synonym of Rineloricaria. However, this is disputed.
