Animal care
Seine Haltung ist ausgesprochen einfach, stellt er nur minimale Anforderungen an das Wasser. Leitungswasser ist i. A. vollkommen ausreichend.
Von extentieller Bedeutung ist, dass eine weiche Wurzel (Moorkien, Mangrove) im Aquarium ist, die er unbedingt zur Verdauung benötigt.
Diese Welse sind tagaktiv und fast immer im Aquarium zu sehen.
