DATZ June 2018 – “Catfish Press Review”

Hello catfish freaks,

today I would like to introduce you in two articles of the current issue of DATZ:

Fabian Deuschle “Successful breeding of an extraordinary pleco” (“Gelungene Nachzucht eine außergewöhnlichen Harnischwelses”)

Fabian reported on the breeding of Parancistrus sp. aff. aurantiacus. The species is said to live in the lower reaches of the Rio Tocantins, near Belém. In particular, it should remain smaller than Parancistrus aurantiacus. Fabian used an incubator to hatch the eggs. The rearing should have been uncomplicated.

Frank Schäfer “Again a C number dissolved” (“Wieder eine C-Nummer aufgelöst”)

Frank wrote about the scientific description of Corydoras benattii by Espindola, Tencatt, Pupo, Villa-Verde and Britto. We know this Corydoras species for a long time as Corydoras sp. „L 22“.
