Amazonas March/April 2018 – “Catfish Press Review”

Hello catfish freaks,

today I would like to introduce you in an article of the current issue of Amazonas:

Norman Behr and Anja Katzschmann “Interview with Daniel Madörin – I always need a nut to crack” (“Interview mit Daniel Madörin – Ich brauche immer wieder eine Nuss zum Knacken”)

Daniel Madörin has been working as a wildlife keeper and instructor at Zoo Basel for approx. 30 years, including 22 years in the aquarium of the zoo. His personal favorite specie is Lamontichthys filamentosus.

Main factors for the successful maintenance and propagation should be the fodder and a stronger flow. The food is a mixture created especially in the Zoo Basel. He has revised his opinion concerning the necessarily low conductivity.

His “F1 frys” have increased after a good one year with a size of about 11 cm.
