At the Río Marañon near San Regis

We drove back the Río Marañon over lunch. From there we started a boat trip to the Nauta Canyon (light blue markers).

According to the literature the Nauta Canyon should be of particular interest due to its diversity of animals and plants. During our tour, I felt it not so.
On the next morning we went on a hike through the primary rainforest near San Regis (gray markers). The local guide was able to show us some animals. Particularly impressive was the Boa constrictor constrictor.

In the afternoon we visited the Indian village San Regis. The size of the monthly food aid received by an Indian family, seemed a bit ridiculous.

It was interesting that in an Indian house posters were hung from the German national players of the World Cup.
