Near from Chan-Chan there is the fishing village Huanchaco (blue marker).

It is known today, especially by first-class restaurants with fish dishes and the fishing boats made of reeds, so-called Caballito de Totora (Reed-Horse). The construction of such boats starts probably to the time of the Moche. Noticeable is, the fisherman is sitting on the boat and not in the boat.
