But the aquarists are only interested in a few because the catfishes from Suriname don\u00b4t have the variety of colors like the catfishes from the Rio Orinoco. The plain brown <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/gefunden\/?db_familie=alle&#038;db_unterfamilie=alle&#038;db_land=Suriname&#038;db_bezeichnung=Hypostomus&#038;db_bilder=ja\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Hypostomos<\/em> from Suriname<\/a> are not desired. At least three species of catfishes are popular: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=529\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Hemiancistrus medians<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=1001\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Pseudacanthicus serratus<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Pseudancistrus barbatus<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Other catfishes from Suriname are only suitable for show aquariums because their size: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=1894\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Brachyplatystoma filamentosum<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=1893\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=1896\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Brachyplatystoma vaiullantii<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Suriname is more in interest of <em>Corydoras<\/em> friends. In Suriname there are live many species of <em>Corydoras<\/em>, for example: <em>Corydoras filamentosus<\/em> und <em>Corydoras geoffroy<\/em> (zwei sehr begehrte Arten), <em>Corydoras oxyrhynchus<\/em>, <em>Corydoras saramaccensis<\/em>, <em>Corydoras baderi<\/em>, <em>Corydoras<\/em> sp. &#8220;CW114&#8221; und <em>Corydoras<\/em> sp. &#8220;CW122&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h2>Daniel Konn-Vetterlein &#8220;Chaetostoma from Peru&#8221; (&#8220;Gebirgsharnischwelse aus Peru&#8221;)<\/h2>\n<p>Daniel Konn-Vetterlein writes about <em>Chaetostoma<\/em> sp. \u201eL 276\u201c. A few years ago this form was assigned to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=367\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Chaetostoma lineopunctatum<\/em><\/a>. He think that these are two different species because in comparison from his species of <em>Chaetostoma<\/em> sp. \u201cL 276\u201d with the pictures of the description of Chaetostoma lineopunctatum they are very different and because between the habitats of both species there is a very great distance.<\/p>\n<p>Additional he makes a mention of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=439\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Chaetostoma<\/em> sp. &#8220;L 348&#8221;<\/a> which have a red seam in the caudal fin.<\/p>\n<h2>Ingo Seidel &#8220;Beautiful beauties of different Corydoras species from the Orinoco River&#8221;(&#8220;Wundersch\u00f6ne Schautiere verschiedener Corydoras-Arten aus dem R\u00edo Orinoco&#8221;)<\/h2>\n<p>Ingo reports from the import of very beautiful <em>Corydoras<\/em> from the border area between Colombia and Venezuela: <em>Corydoras brevirostris<\/em>, <em>Corydoras loxozonus<\/em> (CW 125) und <em>Corydoras concolor<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p>These species have already a considerable size. Therefore the costs of airfreight were very high and the species costs more as others.<\/p>\n<h2>Erik Schiller &#8220;A Corydoras from Argentina:Corydoras micracanthus&#8221; (&#8220;Ein Panzerwels aus Argentinien: Corydoras micracanthus&#8221;)<\/h2>\n<p>Erik\u2019s article is about <em>Corydoras micracanthus<\/em>. This is one of twelve <em>Corydoras<\/em> species from Argentina. This species is very similar to <em>Corydoras gladysae<\/em> and <em>Corydoras petracinii<\/em>. These three species live in a small area in the north of Argentina. They are endemic.
