These plecos have in contrast to the hitherto known <em>Pseudohemiodon apithanos<\/em> (now better <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=678\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Pseudohemiodon<\/span> sp. aff. <span id=\"lk\">apithanos<\/span><\/a>) a net pattern on the head. This pattern corresponds to the scientific description of <em>Pseudohemiodon apithanos<\/em> by Isbr\u00fccker &#038; Nissen, 1978. Isbr\u00fccker and Nissen descripted them from R\u00edo San Miguel, Provinz Napo, Ecuador. <\/p>\n<p>Ingo assume that the Columbian exporter received these plecos over Leticia. Leticia is a town in the corner of the border from Colombia, Peru and Brazil. Most this plecos have a length between 23 and 25.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h4>Rhadinoloricaria macromystax<\/h4>\n<p>\nIt has also been widely reported on the first import of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=1189\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Rhadinoloricaria macromystax<\/span><\/a>. G\u00fcnther described these species from upper Amazon basin in Ecuador and Peru in 1869. Meanwhile, the species was also found in the Essequibo Basin in Guyana. This speaks for a wide distribution of the species.<\/p>\n<p>In Colombian Orinoco basin there is to be found another, not descripted species of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsgattung\/?gattung_name=Rhadinoloricaria\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Rhadinoloricaria<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With respect to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S1055790315003218\" target=\"_blank\">Covain et. al. &quot;Molecular phylogeny of the highly diversified catfish subfamily Loricariinae (Siluriformes, Loricariidae) reveals incongruences with morphological classification&quot;<\/a> Ingo informs that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the genus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsgattung\/?gattung_name=Apistoloricaria\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Apistoloricaria<\/span><\/a> is now a synonym of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsgattung\/?gattung=90\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Rhadinoloricaria<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li>the species <em>Crossloricaria bahuaja<\/em> and <em>Crossloricaria rhami<\/em> are now in the Genos Rhadinoloricaria, therefore now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=672\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Rhadinoloricaria bahuaja<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=658\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Rhadinoloricaria rhami<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h4>Crossloricaria variegata<\/h4>\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=1246\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Crossloricaria variegata<\/span><\/a> was imported from Colombia. These species come from the Departamento Choco, in near to the border of Panama.<\/p>\n<h4>Sturisomatichthys cf. tamanae<\/h4>\n<p>Ingo found this specie at Pier Aquatics in England.<\/p>\n<p>\nWith respect to the mentioned above work of Covain et. al. Ingo note that the species <em>Sturisoma aureum<\/em> and <em>Sturisoma festivum<\/em> are assigned to the genus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsgattung\/?gattung=78\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Sturisomatichthys<\/span><\/a>:<br \/>\nSo now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=762\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Sturisomatichthys aureus<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=763\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Sturisomatichthys festivus<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Daniel Konn-Vetterlein &quot;Aphanotorulus ammophilus&quot;<\/h3>\n<p>Daniel wrote a short report over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=182\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Aphanotorulus ammophilus<\/span> (L94 \/ L123)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsart\/?art=25\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Aphanotorulus popoi<\/span><\/a>. He informs that he found Aphanotorulus popoi regularly on sandbanks in the morning hours during his stay in Bolivia.<br \/>\nBecause he found this plecos on sandbank and these plecos have a reduced dentition he assume that these plecos prefer carnivore food.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Daniel indicated that recently the genus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsgattung\/?gattung_name=Squaliforma\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Squaliforma<\/span><\/a> was dissolved and several of these species have been translated into the genus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.suedamerikafans.de\/en\/wels-datenbank\/welsgattung\/?gattung_name=Aphanotorulus\" target=\"_blank\"><span id=\"lk\">Aphanotorulus<\/span><\/a>. Armbruster &quot;The genera Isorineloricaria and Aphanotorulus (Siluriformes: Loricariidae) with description of a new species&quot;<\/a>)<\/p>\n<h3>Dr. Axel Zarske &amp; Prof. Dr. Hartmut Greven &quot;Sperm in the intestine &#8211; how so?&quot; (&quot;Spermien im Darm &#8211; wie das?&quot;)<\/h3>\n<p>\nHow does fertilization occur in <em>Corydoras<\/em> species? The authors summarize the current situation and present the different opinions. A positive aspect is the mention of \u201cgray literature\u201d and \u201ccitizens&#8217; sciences\u201d. There is, however, no solution to the question.<\/p>\n<h3>Ingo Seidel &quot;Two new Corydoras are described in honor of German aquarists&quot; (&quot;Zwei neue Panzerwelse zu Ehren von deutschen Aquarianern beschrieben&quot;)<\/h3>\n<p>\nIngo informs over the scientific description of two Corydoras:<\/p>\n<h4>Corydoras knaacki &#8211; in honor of Dr. Joachim Knaack<\/h4>\n<p>Joachim devoted more than 60 years to studies on the South American fish fauna. He described 17 species of <em>Corydoras<\/em>, for example <em>Corydoras sterbai<\/em> and <em>Corydoras pygmaeus<\/em>.<br \/>\n(Look: <a
