today I want to introduce you in three articles from the current issue of Amazonas:<\/p>\n

Michael J. Tuccinardi \u201eFarewell to Rio Xingu\u201c<\/h3>\n

(“Abschied vom Rio Xingu”)<\/p>\n

Michael Tuccinardi reports about a short trip to Altamira. Furthermore he visited the Volta Grande. This trip was affected from the dam of Belo Monte. Michael Tuccinardi tried to catch fish there. Finally he gets a lesion from professional fishermans. <\/p>\n

For example they catched:
\nPseudacanthicus<\/span> sp. "L 25"<\/a>, Baryancistrus xanthellus<\/span> (L 81)<\/a>, Hypancistrus zebra<\/span> (L 46)<\/a>, Ancistrus ranunculus<\/span> (L 34)<\/a>, Scobinancistrus aureatus<\/span> (L 14)<\/a>, Panaque<\/span> cf. armbrusteri<\/span> (L 27)<\/a>, Oligancistrus<\/span>\/Spectracanthicus punctatissimus<\/span><\/a> and Leporacanthicus heterodon<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The author wrote about his discusions with fishermans, how many locals been lied to push through the dam of Belo Monte, about the dark outlooks for Altamira and the region, when many workers of the dam will go or how the planed gold mine were destroy the last nature.<\/p>\n

Hans-Georg Evers "Rhadinoloricaria macromystax"<\/h3>\n

\nHans wrote about the first import of Rhadinoloricaria macromystax<\/span><\/a> in the spring of this year. He thinks that the information of the exporter that these fishes came from Venezuela is false. Why we know that different fishes came in this time from the border of Colombia and Peru. (For example I think: Pseudohemiodon apitanos<\/span><\/a>s.)
\nHans wrote that the imported Rhadinoloricaria macromystax<\/em> are stable. There were loss only few animal.<\/p>\n

Hans-Georg Evers "Corydoras knaacki"<\/h3>\n

\nFew months ago, Tencatt and Evers published the scientific description of Corydoras knaacki.
\nHans mentioned about the great role of Dr. Joachim Knaack.
\nFurther Hans wrote about the type location, the marshes near Santa Rita. This area is in danger of illegal gold mining and rice cultivation.
\nThe reproduction of this species should easy. Hans called as water parameter a temperature from 23 \u2013 26 \u00b0C and 4 \u2013 14 \u00b0dGH. After strong feeding and a great change of water after 6 weeks without water changes the reproduction starts.<\/p>\n
