\ntoday I want to introduce you in five articles from the current issue of Amazonas:<\/p>\n

Ingo Seidel "News for genus Aphanotorulus and Isorineloricaria"<\/h3>\n

\nIngo discusses the work from C. Keith Ray & Jonathan W. Armbruster "The genera Isorineloricaria and Aphanotorulus (Siluriformes: Loricariidae) with description of a new species"<\/a>.
\nAs we know, J. W. Armbruster often synonymizes different genus and species. Also in this work we can see this. In this work the authors set equals the genus Squaliforma<\/span><\/a> with Aphanotorulus<\/span><\/a>.
\nFrom special interest Ingo wrote how we can distinguish Aphanotorulus<\/span>\/Squaliforma horridus<\/span> (L 108 )<\/a> from Aphanotorulus<\/em>\/Squaliforma emarginatus<\/em>: in the paired fins of great A. horridus<\/em> the dark spots are bands like.<\/p>\n

Ingo Seidel "Two new Hypancistrus from Rio Negro-basin"<\/h3>\n

\nThe second theme of Ingo is he first description of Hypancistrus phantasma<\/span><\/a> and Hypancistrus margaritatus<\/span> (L 404)<\/a> : “"Two new species of spotted Hypancistrus from the Rio Negro drainage (Loricariidae, Hypostominae)"<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

The description of Hypancistrus phantasma<\/em> is based on animals which were caught and conserved in 1924. It\u2019s not clear how the authors of the description determined the live color of this species after about 90 years of conservation in alcohol.
\nAlso the authors wrote that Hypancistrus margaritatus<\/span><\/a> are rare species. On the other site exporters send permanently these species to Europe.
\nFrom special interest is Ingo\u2019s question to the relation between Hypancistrus margaritatus<\/em> and Hypancistrus<\/span> sp. "L 136"<\/a>. L136 could be a form of Hypancistrus margaritatus<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Haakon Haagensen "Peckoltia furcata"<\/h3>\n

\nHaakon Haagensen informed that Ancistomus furcata<\/span><\/a> was imported to Norway the first time.
\nAncistomus furcata<\/em> is a pleco from Peru, which is very similar to Peckoltia brevis<\/span> (LDA78 )<\/a> . Both species are syntopically.<\/p>\n

As we know, we can distinguish both species in fact that Ancistomus furcata<\/em> is significantly elongated than Peckoltia brevis<\/em>. Another difference is that the caudal fin of Ancistomus furcata<\/em> is more incised. Therefore this species got the name furcata.<\/p>\n

Hans-Georg Evers "L 243 described"<\/h3>\n

\nHans referred to the scientific description of Ancistomus\/Peckoltia wernekei<\/span><\/a>, which we know as L 243. (Look “"A new species of Peckoltia from the Upper Orinoco (Siluriformes, Loricariidae)<\/a>“)<\/p>\n

Markus Kaluza "Corydoras eversi"<\/h3>\n

\nMarkus Kaluza wrote about the description Corydoras eversi<\/em>. (Look also “A new Corydoras Lac\u00e9p\u00e8de, 1803 (Siluriformes: Callichthyidae) from the rio Araguaia basin, Brazil, with comments about Corydoras araguaiaensis Sands, 1990<\/a>“)<\/p>\n
