today I want to introduce you in four articles from the current issue of Aquaristik Fachmagazin,<\/p>\n

Daniel Konn-Vetterlein "Zwischen Salmlern und Welsen am Grunde des Rio Xingu"<\/h3>\n

\n(\u201eBetween Tetras and Catfishes at bottom of Rio Xingu\u201c)<\/p>\n

\nDaniel Konn-Vetterlein reports about an excursion to Sao Felix on Rio Xingu. He was a participant of this excursion. On this trip he spoke with fishers. He was told for example that the fishers get for a Pseudacanthicus<\/span> sp. "L25"<\/a> (~30 cm long) converted only 3 \u2013 5 EUR, or for a Baryancistrus xanthelus<\/span><\/a> (fully grown) only 0.30 \u2013 0.50 EUR. His observations are very interesting: Hypancistrus zebra<\/span><\/a> cracks small shells, Scobinancistrus aureastus<\/span><\/a> and Scobinancistrus<\/span> sp. "L48"<\/a> hunt large snails.
\nOther visible loricariids were Panaque<\/span> cf. armbrusteri<\/span><\/a>, Ancistomus<\/em> cf. sabaji<\/em>, Baryancistrus chrysolomus<\/span><\/a>, Baryancistrus<\/span> sp. "L19"<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nIngo write about the scientific description of Panaqolus nix<\/span><\/a> by Christian Andreas Cramer & L\u00facia Helena Rapp Py-Daniel "A new species of Panaqolus (Siluriformes: Loricariidae) from the rio Madeira basin with remarkable intraspecific color variation"<\/a>. Some years ago in the magazine DATZ Hans-Georg Evert presented this fish as Panaqolus<\/em> sp. \u201cL395\u201d. Ingo points to the similarity to Panaqolus albomaculatus<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Roman Lechner "Vom Urwaldstrom ins Aquarium: Corydoras loretoensis aus dem peruanischen Amazonastiefland"<\/h3>\n

\n(\u201eFrom jungle stream in the aquarium: Corydoras loretoensis from the Peruvian Amazon lowlands\u201c)<\/p>\n

\nRoman inform about the catch of Corydoras loretoensis<\/em> in Rio Nanay and the reproduction of this Corydoras<\/em>.
\nAt time of the reproduction the water temperature was 23 \u00b0 C and the conductivity about 200-300\u03bcS \/ cm. In first time of fry\u2019s Roman feed with Artemia. Just as Roman writes, he failed to timely provide alternative food to Artemia. As a result, the young fishes no coped the switch to dry food, they died or developed very poorly.<\/p>\n

Frank Sch\u00e4fer "Mastiglanis asopos"<\/h3>\n

\nFrank presents the dwarf whip catfish Mastiglanis asopos<\/em>. This bizarre-looking catfish should be widespread in the Amazon region. The imported animals should originate from the Cachoeira de El Dorado, near the border with Venezuela and the city of Barcelos.
